Last night I was reminded of the special grace of the Almighty in a very real way. It was through the consistent friendship of some brothers in Christ, with whom I have much in common. These men are great examples of what it is to be a godly man. We all have the same bond of coming through one of the toughest seminaries in the country.Those of you who know what a blessing it is to have good friends in your life, raise your glasses!!! Three cheers for God's gift of friendship.
As we all part and go our seperate ways in life I know that the impact of these relationships on my life will be long-lasting. What is happening to our little cadre of compatriots has been likened to the breaking of the Fellowship of the Ring, and I can't help but think that to be somewhat true. When the root of friendship runs deep it makes parting truly bittersweet.
